Human and Civil Rights

• Supports speaking out against and fighting structural racism that still exists within our country today.
• Supports DACA, DAPA and TPS policies that provide a path for citizenship.
• Opposes any form of workplace discrimination against LGBTQIA+ workers in all industries.

Worker’s Rights and Organizing

• Supports the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act (H.R. 20/S. 567).
• Supports the Public Service Freedom to Negotiate Act (H.R. 5727 in the 117th Congress).
• Opposes any federal right-to-work (a.k.a. “so-called right to work for less”) policies, and opposes any such anti-worker bills at the state or broader community level.
• Supports efforts to ensure that our tax dollars support good jobs by raising standards for workers on federal contracts, including by guaranteeing that workers on these contracts have “just cause” protections that ensure that they are not retaliated against for arbitrary reasons.
• Supports the Tax Fairness for Workers Act (H.R. 4963/S. 738).
• Supports the No Tax Breaks for Union Busting Act (H.R. 5456/S. 737).
• Supports the Empowering Striking Workers Act (H.R. 6063).

Good Jobs and Offshoring

• Supports the U.S. Call Center Worker and Consumer Protection Act (H.R. 4603/S.2409 in the 117th Congress).
• Supports the No Tax Breaks for Outsourcing Act (S. 357/H.R. 884).
• Supports defending existing workers’ pensions, and pledge to oppose any attacks on these hard-earned benefits.
• Supports paid leave in all places of employment by ensuring that all workers have at least 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave, and to actively oppose any attempts to cut such programs.
• Supports the Cabin Air Safety Act (H.R. 1293/S. 615) to establish proper training, monitoring, reporting and investigations to ensure that airline flight crews and passengers are protected from the effects of toxic cabin air.
• Supports safety and security legislation such as the implementation of mandatory security training for airline flight attendants and passenger service agents, and any additional training that support our airline workers.
• Supports safety and security legislation that would ensure that federal agencies effectively coordinate to enforce existing laws prohibiting assaults on airline crews, passenger service agents, and security screening personnel.
• Support the Good Jobs for Good Airports Act (H.R. 1499/S.753).
• Supports raising the federal minimum wage to $17 an hour by 2028 for all workers, and index minimum wages to median wage growth; Raise the Wage Act of 2023 (H.R. 4889/ S. 2488).
• Supports the Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act (H.R. 2663/S. 1176).
• Supports the use of prevailing wage requirements by updating and improving the Walsh-Healey Act.
• Supports the Lowering Drug Costs for American Families Act (H.R. 4895).
• Opposes legislation to create a commission that would fast track cuts to Social Security and Medicare (H.R. 5779/S. 3262).

Trade

• Opposes any free trade agreements that do not include strong, enforceable labor and environmental protections.
• Supports ensuring that countries come into compliance with basic standards protecting worker rights, the environment, and human rights before Congress votes on a trade agreement with partnering countries.
• Opposes any free trade agreements that include Investor-State Dispute Settlement Provisions.
• Opposes any free trade agreements that would prevent the U.S. from enacting legislation to raise standards in call centers and bring call center jobs back.

Fair Elections and Good Government

• Supports the elimination of the filibuster.
• Supports the Freedom to Vote Act (H.R. 11/S. 1).
• Support the Protecting Our Democracy Act (H.R.5048).

Broadband For All

• Supports continued funding of the Affordable Connectivity Program.
• Supports ensuring that “one-touch-make-ready” policies that allow unskilled, untrained, low-wage contractors to move existing equipment on utility poles do not supersede provisions of collective bargaining agreements that ensure that that work will be done safely by highly trained union members.
• Supports broadening the base to ensure that the FCC can continue sustainably funding these programs.

Taking On Wall Street

• Supports closing the carried interest loophole.
• Supports the Tax on Wall Street Speculation Act.
• Supports the Reward Work Act (H.R. 3694).
• Supports the Tax Excessive CEO Pay Act.
• Supports ending “Too Big to Fail” by breaking up the Wall Street mega banks and separating depository banking from risky investment banking.
• Supports ending predatory lending and expanding access to fair consumer banking services through “a public option” like public banks or postal banking.
• Supports defending the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) from any corporate-sponsored attacks and to strengthen and empower the CFPB to further protect consumers.
• Supports the Stop Wall Street Looting Act.
• Supports a Banker Workers Bill of Rights.

Historic Preservation

• I strongly support the Historic Preservation Fund and its mission to protect and preserve our nation's heritage.
• I fully support the Historic Tax Credit program as a vital tool for economic development and preservation.
• I strongly support the Historic Preservation Easement Program as an essential tool for safeguarding our nation’s cultural and historical heritage.
• I believe that historic preservation must be a key consideration in federal project planning.

Veterans and the Veterans Administration Support

• Strengthening the Veterans Administration (VA) to ensure high-quality healthcare and mental health services for Veterans.
• Reducing wait times and expand access to care to include rural areas.
• Improving overall support and resources for Veterans.

Opioid Crisis

• Supports a comprehensive approach to tackling the opioid crisis.
• Increasing access to addiction treatment and recovery programs.
• Strengthening prevention efforts and hold pharmaceutical companies accountable.

Lowering Prescription Costs

• Advocating for legislation to lower prescription drug prices.
• Supports allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices for all prescription medications.
• Capping out-of-pocket costs and increase transparency in drug pricing.

Education and Teacher Unions

• Advocating for increased funding for public schools to ensure all students have access to a high-quality education.
• Supports efforts to improve teacher salaries and benefits to attract and retain dedicated educators.
• I stand with teacher unions in their efforts to negotiate fair working conditions and resources for classrooms.
• Promoting policies that ensure equitable access to education resources, including advanced technology and support services.
• Supports initiatives that reduce classroom sizes and providing additional support for students with special needs.
